3.4.7.4 Hoisting hook position. The lowest point of the hoisting hook shall not be higher
than 12 in. (30 cm) from the ground with the hoisting cable fully extended. With the hoisting
cable fully retracted, the hoisting hook shall not be lower than 150 in. (380 cm) from the ground
(see 4.6.5.7.4).
3.4.7.5 Rated crane capacity. The loader shall maintain stability at all times when lifting
an excess of the specified maximum load up to the rated crane capacity load. There shall be no
permanent deformation or damage to the loader (see 4.6.5.7.5).
3.4.8 Superstructure operation. The loader superstructure, empty or loaded with 1, 2, or
3 missiles, shall operate smoothly and satisfactorily under operating conditions as specified herein.
With the superstructure adjusted for normal loader operation, and with the engine running, the
superstructure shall respond as specified in table III when the superstructure control levers are
moved from their respective neutral positions as specified herein (see 4.6.5.8).

3.4.8.1 Superstructure operating speeds. With the loader on a relatively level, smooth,
firm surface, control levers at maximum settings and the engine speed as specified in table IV, the
superstructure, loaded with 1, 2, or 3 missiles, shall operate as specified herein
(see 4.6.5.8.1).
